Slaidburn
|
|
| Slaidburn, in the heart of the bleak but
beautiful Forest of Bowland, a typical Bowland village with the Slaidburn Visitor and
Heritage Centre to help you find your way around. Until recently local landowners were not that keen on walkers, but it is starting
to open up as a walking area.
The village has stone cottages and is next to
the River Hodder with an attractive green.
You can see the 18th century church and school. |
