North LincolnshireHorncastle

Horncastle, almost an antiques centre on it's own, with lots of shops to wander around.

The town has Roman origins and you can still see some of the remaining walls.

Sir Joseph Banks, who travelled with Captain Cook to the South Pacific, lived here, and William Marwood, a public executioner for 11 years from 1872 is buried in the churchyard at Holy Trinity Church.

Tourist Information centre in the town.
