| Spalding,the fields around are famous
for their flowers, almost Dutch in the flat landscape, best in Spring.
This historic town,
in the middle of the Fens, has old buildings, mainly 18th
century, in streets both sides of the River Welland, which
is bridged by seven bridges. 13th century church, and a 14th
century inn.
The town has an internationally famous flower
festival every year in May. |
