This 16th century tudor manor
house was built around 1537 Sir John Champneys, the Lord Mayor
of London at that time.
Standing in grounds and gardens
it is near to Bexley Heath, infamous for highwaymen in the
17th-18th centuries, including Dick Turpin.
There are exhibition galleries,
a shop, and tearoom.
