Camden Passage Market
is set in a cobbled walkway, just off Islington High Street.
Here bookshops
and restaurants mingle with elegant antique shops.
The small antiques
market has collectables such as Victorian silverware, prints,
jewellery, toys and period clothes. This is a good place
to browse around, but, as most of the traders are specialists,
bargains are hard to find. Prices are always high so
haggling is essential!
Many of the smaller
shops and stalls are open only on Wednesdays and Saturdays,
but the larger antique furniture shops may open on other days
if visitors ring the bell.
On Sunday mornings
Camden Passage hosts a popular Farmers' Market selling a range
of locally grown organic foods.
