Housed in a restored Victorian
station building, and dedicated to the London & North
Eastern Railway.
Displays include a 1920s ticket
office, timetables, tickets, station signs, models, trains
and a turntable pit. Occasional film shows.
Miniature railway runs on the
first two weekends of month in the afternoon, charge for rides.
The best time to visit the museum
is on the Steam Days when the working locomotives, steam up
and down outside. Best to telephone for times.
