The Wetland Centre is the creation
of the late Sir Peter Scott's Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust.
In 105 acres of disused waterworks,
remarkably close to the centre of London, the WWT have created
a multiple-habitat reserve with open water lakes, reedbeds,
seasonally inundated grasslands and open mudflats.
Visitors to the wildlife-rich
wilderness can view parts of the reserve via CCTV cameras.
The Wetland Centre also contains
an exhibition space, the Peter Scott Visitor Centre, a restaurant,
café and shops.
