Freemasons' Hall
Great Queen Street, London WC2

The Grand Lodge of the Freemasons is housed in a monumental, Art Deco building in Covent Garden.

This is the central meeting place for the UK's 8,600 Masonic lodges, and inside there are around 20 temples with the centrepiece being the Grand Temple, with mosaic ceiling, stained glass windows and carved doors.

In an attempt to improve on the Masons' reputation for secretiveness, the Freemasons' Hall is open for concerts and other public events, as well as guided tours.  The tours show the Freemasonry's principles and brotherly love.

There are many pieces of regalia on show, but the secret of the Masonic handshake is not explained.
