Hatton Garden forms the centre
of London's diamond and jewellery trade.
Running parallel to Leather
Lane, the long-established street market, Hatton
Garden was built on land that formed the garden of of Hatton
House.
Here, scores of small shops,
with sparkling window displays, trade in gems of all types
and values. Some trade even takes place on the pavements!
Hatton Garden boasts one of London's
few remaining pawnbrokers, distinguished by the age-old sign
- three brass balls hanging above the door.
