Originally on Dover Street, the
ICA moved to Carlton House Terrace in 1968.
The Classical building, dating
from 1833, was designed by John Nash, the Prince Regent's
favourite.
With its entrance in The
Mall, The ICA contains a cinema, auditorium, art
gallery, bookshop, bar and restaurant.
The intimate auditorium is the
setting for experimental, movement-based theatre and avant-garde
dance. The ICA maintains a balance between emerging talent
and seasons for established British and international artists.
The London International Mime
Festival visits the ICA each January.
Tickets for the venue also provide
membership of the ICA for the day; giving access to the Art
Gallery and café.
