The Riverside is one of London's leading arts and media centres. The venue boasts three auditoriums, including a hangar-like performance space. 

As well as a repertory cinema and its own gallery, the Riverside plays host to a wide range of avant-garde productions including international travelling theatre, large-scale domestic works, contemporary dance and art exhibitions. 

In October and November the Riverside's hosts an annual dance festival, 'Dance Umbrella'.

The venue's facilities also include an attractive bar/cafe and a bookshop.
