Located in the Place Building, Bloomsbury, the theatre is dedicated to contemporary and ethnic dance.  

The Place is the home of the London Contemporary Dance Theatre, the largest of Britain's contemporary dance companies. 

The company, along with ethnic dance companies based here and visiting dancers, provides a year-round programme of performances. 

The theatre's facilities include an information centre, a dance video library, dance training, and evening classes for dancers of all abilities.
