Raglan is a small town in the centre of Monmouthshire famous for its splendid ruined castle, one of the finest in Wales.
The castle dates from the 15th century and draws visitors from far and wide on the Welsh castle trail. Its magnificent turreted gatehouse is the most imposing feature of this huge building, and within is found a wonderful central tower surrounded by its own moat.
The village itself has a traditional Welsh flavour, with plenty of shops and amenities and some good old-fashioned pubs.
