Acle is in easy reach of the Broads so is a good base for touring. Unusual church with thatched roof and 12th century round tower. Windpumps just east of the village, used to pump excess water from the Broads.

Ranworth Broad, has a conservation centre, nature trails etc,access through Ranworth village north off the B1140 from Acle.
 
Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, School Road, South Walsham NR13 6DZ, B1140 just north of Acle, 130 acres of organically managed woodland and water garden. Next to a private Broad, 900 year old tree, nature trails,shop, tea rooms.
