East NorfolkGreat Yarmouth

Great Yarmouth, a large traditional English seaside holiday resort, two piers and 5 miles of beaches, but can get cold with the wind blowing off the North Sea.

A busy port, with one of the main fishing fleets in the UK, which is also used by boats from the Norfolk Broads.

The two piers, Wellington Pier (1854) and Britannia Pier  (1858), provide all the fun of the seaside.

Great Yarmouth has retained many historical features, especially around the south quay. Walk from the town to the quay through the Rows, past the 300 year old Merchants House. The Customs House and the remains of the town walls can be seen. The town museum, one of 14(!), is in tower.

The town has England's largest parish church, the 14th century Church Of St Nicholas.

All the fun of the seaside resort with amusements and beaches.  Try the Leisure Beach for the rides and Joylands for youngsters. Swimming pool, roller-skating rink, play area, entertainments, restaurants and cafes.at the Marina Leisure Centre.

Shopping area with most shops, and plenty of night life with cinemas, theatres, and clubs. Summer shows here and at the holiday centres around the town.
