Norwich, the historic city of Norfolk, with cathedral, shops, station, and lots to see and do, from plays to concerts, clubs to cinemas.
Lots of office blocks, but it still retains the old centre, even with the 1930's controversial city hall.
Cobbled Elm Hill with 14th & 18th century buildings. Famous Mustard shop, Coleman's Mustard factory has made mustard since 1814 from locally grown mustard.
The county town's Norman cathedral has on the finest interiors, especially the presbytery and the cloister. Enter the cathedral through two gates, Epringham (1420), built by Agincourt archers commander, and St. Ethberts (1272), built over a riot between monks and townspeople over the monks levy of taxes at annual Tombland fair. Nurse Cavell, shot by Germans in WWI, buried here.
The city has 30 parish churches.
