Kilsyth is a characterful and attractive town north of Glasgow. It is set amidst some beautiful lowland countryside including the Kilsyth Hills and the Kelvin Valley, home to the ancient Roman monument the Antonine Wall.
The Colzium Lennox Estate is a beautiful park with lovely walks set on Banton Loch and the site of what was Colzium Castle, now centred on an attractive 18th century mansion house and walled gardens.
Kilsyth is also home to the world's recorded club for curling, the ancient sport of sliding stones across ice, which was founded in 1716 and is still active today. There is also an old curling pond in the Colzium Lennox Estate.
