Daventry, this historic market town has one of the largest market squares in England. Markets are held here six days a week.
The town boasts several old coaching inns which reveal its historical importance as a resting place for travellers. One of the most notable visitors to Daventry was Charles I, who spent several days here before the Battle of Naseby in 1645.
