Lyveden
New Bield (or Build) was begun in 1594 by the Sir Thomas Tresham
as a garden lodge, a two
storey building illustrating the Elizabethan love of symbolism. The
abandoned building has around
it the outlines of a formal garden,
one of the oldest surviving garden layouts in England. Walks
and woodland.

Southwick
Hall, privately owned, is a stone-built manor house set in the
valley of the River Nene. The
origins of the house date back to the 14th century but has been
considerably altered and extended up until the 19th century.
