an historic, attractive and often busy town once in the middle
of border fighting with Scotland.
The town is dominated by the castle with a massive keep,
walls and towers, the town has attractive streets and a
market square.
Home of the Alnwick International Music
Festival, which starts the first Saturday in August
each year. Eight days of international music, song and dance
with groups from ten different countries taking part. Free
open air concerts in the Market Place and craft fair each
day, evening concerts and dances, children's entertainment,
etc.etc.etc.
