Laxton
|
|
|
Laxton
is the only village in Britain to have retained its medieval
'open field' farming. Here the land is still farmed by a
medieval system, with each farmer allotted separate 'strips'
in the open or common fields by the manor court.
The Laxton
Heritage Museum and Laxton Visitor Centre illustrate the area's
history and give a facinating insight into the way of life
of this unique village.
Nearby
is the Beth Shalom The Holocaust Centre.
