Stonebridge

in 1979, this urban farm has lots to see including cattle, poultry,
lambs, pigs, rabbits and Guinea pigs. Other highlights include
Giant African Land Snails, a wormery and bee hives. The farm

Wollaton
Park is an historic deer park surrounding spectacular Wollaton
Hall, an Elizabethan mansion now owned by Nottingham City Council.
West of the city, the 500 acres of parkland is still grazed
by herds of Red Deer and Fallow Deer. Large lake, Sensory Garden
and playgrounds, and the Grade I listed Wollaton Hall, completed
in 1588, is home to the city's Natural History Museum. The Courtyard
Stables house Nottingham's Industrial Museum, Steam Engine House,
Wollaton Visitor Centre and the Yard Gallery.

National Water Sports Centre

east of Nottingham, signposted from A52, Set in 270 acres of
country parkland, this purpose-built centre was designed to
train athletes and stage national and international sporting
events. On the River Trent,the river and the 2,000 m regatta
lake provide a range of water sports including dinghy sailing,
windsurfing, canoeing, rowing and power-boat handling. Man-made
slalom course for canoeing and white water rafting and water
skiing lagoon, with cable tow.
