Grassington,in Wharfdale, one of the Yorkshire Dales, a small town in what used to be a mining area, around a slopping square that is cobbled. As well as the shops there is the National Park Dale Visitor Centre..

A good base for exploring the Dales, and some pleasant drives try the B6160 north along the dale.
