Malton
|
|
|
Malton,
a market town of two parts, Old Malton, with its stone houses
and St Mary's Priory, and the town that grew originally around
a Norman Castle, the modern day Malton.
Over the
river you can find Norton on Derwent, a centre for racehorse
training, but really it's all one town.
Plenty
of shops here and a market is still held here. It's major
industries were farming and brewing, but only one brewery
remains today.
The nearest
town to Castle
Howard.
