Pateley Bridge, in Nidderdale, a very pleasant market town next to the River Nidd, with small shops. Popular with walkers and quite a lot to see and visit in the area.

Has the Nidderdale Festival every year at the end of June through to early July, as well as the Agricultural Show late September, both popular events.

Nidderdale Museum, on the top floor of a former workhouse, built in 1863, a collection illustrating the Dale's life in the past. Victorian Parlour and kitchen, schoolroom, 1930's General Store, Cobbler's Workshop. Open: Sat and Sun 14:00-17:00 Tel: 01423 711225 Admission Fee
