this thriving town that has expanded over the recent years with
several large shopping areas out of town.
It has a sports centre, Spiceball Park Sports Centre, as
well as an arts centre, at The Mill, Spiceball Park.(Tel:
01295 252050) and a cinema.
Famous as the home of Banbury Cross, which actually is a
1859 replacement to commemorate the marriage of Victoria
to the Crown Prince of Prussia, the original was destroyed
in 1602.
The cross features in that well known nursery rhyme..Ride
a cock horse to Banbury Cross.... And of course Banbury
cakes are made here!
