on Thames, not to be confused with Dorchester in Dorset,
is only a small village, next to the River Thames, some nice
shops and walks along the river with a lock.
It has some history,
being a Roman station and a Saxon cathedral town.

Abbey, preserved with 12th century nave and spiral staircase
in the tower, museum, exhibits on the history of the area from
early times, and one window is a memorial to Winston Churchill,
shop, etc.
