The River Solva cuts though its steep-sided wooded valley down to the sheltered harbour, and is a dotted with the many sailing boats which use the village as a base. The area is also popular for other watersports such as kayaking, and for boat trips to best appreciate the stunning coastline of rugged cliffs, sandy coves and caves.
The village has many quaint colourful cottages, as well as cafes, shops and galleries, and is popular with tourists and walkers stopping off from the Pembrokeshire coastal path.
