Central SuffolkLong Melford

Long Melford the grandest village in Suffolk ?

The long main street of old buildings, now shops, is dominated by 15th century Holy Trinity church on site of a Roman temple and has a, 1496, Lady Chapel and a 1903 tower.

Over on the other side of the village green stands Melford Hall, one of the finest Elizabethan manors, with courtyard and turrets.

Don't neglect to explore other small villages in the Long Melford area as well.

If you are in the area, Kedington's church worth a look, B1061 off the A604, take the A1092 from Long Melford westwards.
