The long main street of old buildings, now shops, is dominated
by 15th century Holy Trinity church on site of a Roman
temple and has a, 1496, Lady Chapel and a 1903 tower.
Over on the other side of the village green stands Melford
Hall, one of the finest Elizabethan manors, with courtyard
and turrets.
