Lowestoft
|
|
| Lowestoft,
a seaside resort with a very active fishing port and harbour,
watch for the road bridge that rises to let ships through.
The town has a compact but complete shopping centre with
out of town supermarkets.
The old town survives around The Scores, with a medieval
church. There is a Tourist Information Centre on the Esplanade.
Possibly the freshest and best Fish & Chips in the
country.
For a relax go out to Oulton Broads,
watch the boats on the Broad and try the local pubs.
Miles of sand to the north and south of the harbour,
or try Kessingland beach, south of the town.
