East SuffolkOrford

Orford, is overlooked by an Henry II moated castle with an 18 sided keep. Once by the river the castle moved inland as the river silted up and today it contains a collection of arms.

The village below is opposite Orford Ness, across a small channel. The village has small cottages and attractive houses, and the church is worth a quick look.
