| Shotley
Gate, the village of Shotley, where the rivers Stour and
Orwell meet, is just inland from Shotley Gate which overlooks
the entrance to the busy ports of Harwich and Felixstowe.
Great place to watch the ships plying up and down and there
are good river walks.
The drive from Ipswich takes you along the River Orwell,
Pin Mill is a good place to stop.
HMS Ganges, former naval training station nearby.
