Central SuffolkSudbury

Sudbury is a small market town on the River Stour, the birth place of Thomas Gainsborough, master of English landscape and portrait painting, born here 1727.

The birthplace has an art gallery and museum and Gainsborough's statue stands in front of the 15th century St Peters church.
