Vale of Glamorgan Tourist Information

Visit the Vale of Glamorgan
The most southerly tip of Wales, the Vale of Glamorgan is a scenic area with a wonderful coastline sandwiched between the large cities of Swansea and Cardiff.

The Glamorgan Heritage Coast covers 14 protected miles of stunning cliffs, incredible rock formations and great beaches. A coastal path snakes across the clifftops offering breathtaking views of the sea and countryside. Enjoy the refined Victorian coastal resort of Penarth, close to Cardiff, or indulge in some traditional seaside family fun at Barry Island.

Inland, the rolling green hills are great for walking and enjoying its towns and villages, such as charming Cowbridge. There are also a wealth of lovely historic houses and castles in Glamorgan, and don't miss the reconstructed medieval village at Cosmeston near Penarth.
