The small coastal village of Southerndown is an excellent starting point for exploring the beautiful Glamorgan Heritage Coast.
The stunning local beach of Dunraven Bay is a sandy bay with sheer cliffs of stacked rock and other amazing rock formations. This particularly scenic part of the coastal path is popular with walkers, artists and photographers - as well as families and surfers.
The Glamorgan Heritage Coast Centre is close to the beach, set in Dunraven Park. It provides information on visiting this wonderful coastline, including the coastal path which passes next to Nash Point lighthouse and St Donats castle just to the east.
