| Bewdley,
on the edge of the Wyre Forest, on the River Severn, with a
balustraded bridge.
Famous as a station on the Severn Valley Railway, the town
shows a mixture of styles including an 18th century market
hall, behind which is The Shambles, an old butchers market
now a folk museum.
With an information centre Bewdley is a good choice as a
touring point . A456 west will take you to the Wyre Forest
with marked trails, leaflets at the information centre.
