Wrexham Tourist Information

Visit Wrexham
Gateway to Wales, the attractive county of Wrexham is blessed with beautiful rolling hills and historic towns and villages.

Set on the border with England, it was scene of conflict for generations, the legacy of which can be seen in its ancient earthworks and medieval castles such as at Chirk and Holt. Just a short distance from Roman Chester, its borderlands setting today makes it one of the most accessible regions of Wales.

Journeying south, the Ceiriog Valley is one of the prettiest and quietest parts of rural Wales. There are several lovely country parks which make good use of the scenery, and also fascinating reminders of the industrial revolution such as at Bersham near Wrexham - and not forgetting the amazing Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
