South W.SussexPetworth

Petworth, an olde worlde small town, with its history available to the visitor. There are houses in the towns narrow streets starting from the 16th and 17th century, including the 1618 almshouses, and the 19th century Town Hall.

Worth a look around the town, although miss out on its delights as they travel to nearby Petworth House. We understand part of the old canal is now open.

Tourist Information Centre in the town.
